Three of my most relevant works of art are on display in exhibitions around the Bay Area. View my black and white piece entitled “United Migraine” in the Art Guild of Pacifica’s exhibition “Heads”, held at the Sanchez Art Center at 1220 Linda Mar Boulevard in Pacifica. “Heads” will be on display through the end of March 2012. Also, I have two pieces hung in the Caldwell Gallery in Redwood City at 400 County Center. View both “The Queen of Wands” and “The Queen of Pentacles” exhibited in the 8th Annual Women's Art Exhibit sponsored by the Arts Commission and the Commission on the Status of Women. Jurors Jan Rindfleisch, Executive Director of the Euphrat Museum, and Lucy I, Sargeant, retired Art Professor for San Jose State University, selected who would be part of this yearly exhibition, which will be on display through the end of April 2012.

I participated in a wonderful community blog event called the “Tarot Blog Hop” this month. It gave me an opportunity to further explore how the tarot has affected by work and my life. Here is an excerpt … “Like the ritual lighting of bonfires around the Vernal Equinox (Spring), by utilizing the gifts of Ostara and understanding the key offered by the Ace of Pentacles, I was able to relight the creative spark in my life. “ Read more in my blogpost here, and then follow the blog links to the next entries! There’s lots to read, lots to learn about the tarot and more … if you’re interested, you can sign up to participate next time!

Do you feel that stress, or the demands of daily life have diminished your creativity? As you approach Spring, ask yourself these questions:
- What “nut” have I squirreled away for safekeeping?
- How can I light the fire of my creative spark once again?
Watch the world around you for subtle hints on answers, or pull a card or two from your favorite tarot deck. Most of all, remember this: Our creative efforts are best done without attaching expectations to the outcome and without seeking approval from others. Just do it, and do it to make you happy!
